VARIETY: 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (French clones 23 and 169, German clone 163 and South African clones 37 and 46).
MATURATION: 12 months in 58% new wood, 17% second fill and 25% third fill French oak barrels. Two rackings during wood maturation. Thereafter bottled without filtering or fining. Natural deposits may therefore be found in the bottle. Can be enjoyed now but is anticipated to reach its optimum in 2-5 years time.
TASTING NOTES: Dark black in appearance. Cassis and cigar box on the nose. Silky smooth tannins with a lingering dark chocolate aftertaste.
