VARIETY: 100% Cabernet Franc (South African Clone 1 & French Clone 214)
MATURATION: 12 months in 50% new, 25% second fill and 25% third fill French oak barrels. Two rackings during wood maturation. Thereafter bottled wthout filtering or fining. Natural deposits may therefore be found in the bottle. Can be enjoyed now but is anticipated to reach its optimum in 2-5 years time.
TASTING NOTES: Intense dark purple colour. Oak perfume with blackberry and hazel nut on the nose. Broad smooth tannins. Intense rich fruit and juicy palate.
Residual Sugar 4.05 g/l (+/- 0.5 g/l)
Alcohol: 13.9% by vol (+/- 0.2% vol)
Total Acid: 5.9 g/l (+/- 0.25 g/l)
pH: 3.57 (+/- 0.05)
