VINIFICATION: Farmed dry-land, thus not irrigated. Selected from various sites on the farm. They Syrah bush vines are aged between 15-40 years. Handpicked early, the grapes were hand-sorted and all "under ripe" bunches were removed. The grapes were partially whole-bunch fermented and the remainder destemmed. Fermented in a vast variety of foudres, big French oak barrels and concrete tanks.
TASTING NOTES: An expressive Swartland Syrah. Structured but elegant with juicy palate. Colour: ruby red. Nose: fruity berry flavours being prominent with hints of dark chocolate and spice. Palate: structured yet elegant mouthfeel with well integrated tannins, juicy palate with aromas of berries being prominent.
